Principal, Co-Founder
Annette brings over 20 years of real estate experience in North America. As a founding executive at Gilbach Real Estate Development, she previously led large subdivision developments for Mattamy Homes, North America’s largest privately owned homebuilder, which has constructed over 70,000 homes. Annette’s diverse expertise spans various commercial categories, including income-producing properties, offices, entertainment venues, industrial sites, retail spaces, and multi-unit residential buildings, across the Greater Toronto Area and Phoenix, Arizona.
Annette began her career with Mattamy Homes, Canada’s largest homebuilder, where she gained a deep understanding of the construction process. Reporting directly to the Controller, she managed millions of dollars in construction invoices and initiated Canada’s first large-scale automatic payment program. She also worked at Stelumar, Mattamy’s automated panel facility in Cambridge, ON, which revolutionized the assembly of home components indoors, eliminating the need for police escorts for transporting large sections.
Primarily working in Mattamy’s land development department, Annette was responsible for acquiring thousands of acres and managing approvals from raw land to construction-ready lots, including the assumption of roads and release of letters of credit by municipalities. She developed strategic relationships with consultants, landowners, politicians, and key municipal decision-makers, especially in Milton, ON. In the late 2000s, she spearheaded Mattamy’s new division in Phoenix, Arizona, overseeing the aggressive purchase of serviced lots and large land parcels.
Upon returning to Ontario, Annette focused on commercial development in Downtown Toronto. At a large commercial real estate group based in Liberty Village, she managed leasing, property management, and real estate development, including a 280,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art office complex with 60,000 square feet of prime retail space.
